Visit with Charles

Charles, John C., and Elizabeth made it through the snow to Chicago and John J and JT arrived at about the same time. They had fun in the snow this morning and will go sledding again this afternoon. I have LOTS of good photos.
We hope to leave VERY early in the morning to take Elizabeth back to school by 10 am!!!

Happy Valentine's Day to all!!!!!! Wish I could be with everyone!!!!!
I got two cards from home. George got me a bakery cookie--gingersnap hearts filled with raspberry jam. He got Beth an arrangement of sunflowers and bird of paradise--and chocolate mousse.
I got to go with George and Gabe to Lil Kickers today.

A walk on the Midway

It's such a beautiful day here in Chicago--although windy, of course. We took a walk on the Midway that made us wish for Spring! Gabe loved running around, looking at the sculptural dried plants, and watching the construction areas that we passed.

I have some awesome photos! Yea!! The photo of Elizabeth, JT, and Gabe shows the gate to the dorm, not a castle portcullis.
It's been great fun to have all three of the grandsons together!! You should have seen us piled on the sleeper sofa last night watching Fireman Sam on TV. :-)
It's a beautiful weekend here in Chicago so it was perfect for John J and John T to be able to come down and join the family gathering. I think everyone is going for a walk soon, to enjoy some of the sunshine.
Elijah Quinn is a beautiful baby and is pretty peaceful so far. I'll be here for a week or so and it will be fun to watch him this week.
John C and Elizabeth go back sometime early this afternoon. John C. has lots of trips to make. He was in MN last week and goes to Omaha next week.
Elizabeth has been applying for scholarships and has been asked to join some honor societies. She's loving her art and dance classes and is getting a lot out of Criminal Justice.
On Fridays she often babysits for a 2 month old girl, the daughter of one of her professors.
