August visits

It was great to have Charles home for a couple of days, and to see the other kids and grandsons! Dawn we missed you!
We had some great meals! Charles grilled on Tuesday, after a fun day of canoeing, and everyone brought yummy food. George cooked a pasta and sauce (from garden veggies) on Wed. night. On Thursday we moved Elizabeth into her apartment and then Charles went to the airport :-(. The little ones had fun playing in mud puddles, in the kiddie pool, and on the golf cart!

Changes

What a difference a few weeks makes. Charles has joined the National Guard. John J will be training to work for awhile for the United Methodist Committee on Relief.
Elizabeth and Charles will be heading for home this weekend and I'll be glad to see them both. George, Beth, Gabe, and Elijah will try and come down to see Charles before he flies home. John J hopes to, also, depending on whether he has started to work.
