Effanbee Honey walker and Frey Co. Dolls

I purchased this Honey walking doll at an auction this weekend. I spotted her in a group of larger rubber dolls and when I picked her up her legs and head moved. Effanbee was on her back and neck. I knew she was Effanbee's special walking doll but couldn't remember the name at the time. She was in the corner where the auction was to start and I quietly asked the auctioneer if he would sell her separately as I didn't want the other dolls. He picked her up as the first item for bid for the day and no one else wanted her. Her upper layer of hair was sticking up, the rest of her hair was pulled back and pinned with 6 cute doll sized bobby pins. There was a very dark oval on her forehead, of unknown origin, which cleaned off leaving only a shadow. Her eyes and walker work beautifully and her fingers and toes are all there. Her color is quite nice. There is some loss in the cheeks, but the pretty multi stroke eyebrows are present as well as the delicate pink on the knees and the backs of the hands. Her main problems are the lack of most eyelashes on her right eye and some dirty scratches on the tip of her nose. I couldn't get that clean so I pressed mineral makeup into the scratches for now. She's wearing the undies, socks, and shoes she came in plus a blouse I had from another sale (possibly an item handmade for a Toni).

No one wanted the Frey Manufacturing Co. rubber baby doll either and I changed my mind on her because of the lovely clothes and cute rubber shoes. She was quite dirty and felt terrible to the touch. Her clothes were very soiled and the dress is still a bit stained in places, although unripped. Under her pink taffeta panties was a pink plastic or rubber diaper cover with pink bows, still soft to the touch. No one wanted the Frey Manufacturing Co. rubber doll baby either and I changed my mind on her because of the lovely clothes and cute rubber shoes. It is surely pre 1950's because of the use of the rubber body with, I believe, a hard rubber head. This doll was fairly well cared for or it wouldn't have survived without a single crack or tear. She has a wooden connector between her head and body to ease the turning of her head.

I had fun using my vintage clothes line and doll sized clothes pins.

These are some doilies, hanky, and a cuff and collar that I got wadded up in a box at another auction.
