JT's Birthday--Art Fest Midwest

Happy Second Birthday to our precious grandson, John Thomas Weyer. I hope he had a wonderful first visit to the zoo today and that he has a great party tomorrow!!





John C and I are at the Art Fest Midwest in Des Moines. John is in a row of specially selected demonstrating artists. It was a long day but we did fairly well and I got in a short bit of shopping afterwards, getting some clothes for the grandsons.

JT really liked Pete!!!!!!! He was having quite a conversation with him here.




JT also loves my mom. She plays with him just like he likes. :-)

Other things I really enjoyed about JT's visit:
playing with trains
watching birds at the window feeders
a magical evening when we took him out to see THOUSANDS of fireflies in the pastures
watching him help Grandpa dismantle the workbench at Snake Alley
watching him and his Daddy at the art table at Snake Alley

Our weather is still frighteningly wet here in SE Iowa. We do have some heat now however. Steam heat!! More photos later! :-)

Had a milkshake
Ate a lot!

John J made us a TV antenna out of old parts and put it in the attic and now we get 6 stations instead of 2 and are all ready for digital.
I'm on an old computer at the Hall, hence the abbreviated entry and mixed up photos. I've had to restart it once. I will probably not get a new phone until there's a break in the shows, or until another one goes out on the property.
It was so sad to see JT leave and go back to controversy. Mom and I went out for plant therapy. I got a butterfly bush which will always remind me of a good visit. He wanted Mom and I to get in the car with him when he went home. He looked for me at the apartment, told me "night, night" on the phone.
John J is a wonderful Dad and JT is so very attached to him!
We're all pulling for Charles to get a great job after loosing his at the SCC because stimulus funds have NOT arrived.

Happy Anniversary!

Thirty five !! years ago I couldn't even begin to imagine my life SOO many years later! Four children (one on the way home right now with a grandson), three grandsons--life is good!
